Meet the Seniors

Abby Kaff

///

Hello! I'm Abby Kaff and I'm going into my senior year and I quite literally cannot believe it! I am a mathematics major (#STEM), with two minors in studio art and art history. I am from Wichita, KS where the loml is, my dog Daisy. On campus, apart from being a Tri Delta, I am involved as a University Admissions Assistant, a Love Your Melon campus ambassador, and a part of the Math club. I am currently spending my summer being a data intern in Wichita. I plan to go to grad school after i graduate with a emphasis in STEM programs. I guess I don't have a specific job as my "dream job" yet, but whatever I do I hope to be helping the world, whether it's through nonprofits or helping worldly effects in science. I am so lucky to be finishing my undergrad as a part of Tri Delta, and I have countless memories I cherish. By far my current favorite memories are the ones that happen in our pledge class snapchat. (D14 4 life!) DLAM, Abby

Amanda Love

Hello, I am no average sorority girl. While tackling a double major in Accounting and Business Marketing accompanied by a minor is Economics, I have had my hands full over the last few years. I was sure I wanted to go to Baker after my first visit, but what I was not confident able was, what I would get involved in during my time there. While at Baker I have been a member of Delta Delta Delta since the start, and have loved every minute of it! I have had the opportunity to hold several different offices including Reference chair, New Member Educator, and Vice President of Finance. Through these offices I have represented the house new members and the houses financials standing on the standards committee. As for the future, I will be studying aboard in the Coast Rica in the Spring just before commencement, to celebrate all of the senior events with my pledge class.

Bailey Gibson

///

Hi guys! My name is Bailey Gibson and I am a Chemistry major and a Mathematics minor from Olathe, Kansas. I am on the golf team here at Baker and I am also involved with other organizations such as Love Your Melon Crew, BUMP (math) club, and Phi Eta Sigma honor society. I am currently working as a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Pharmacy, but I am unsure of my career plans after graduation. Aside from working this summer, I have enjoyed traveling to the lake and tailgating at Royal’s games. There are several Tri Delta memories that I love such as every bid day since I have joined, but my favorite memory would probably have to be traveling to Peru with five of my sisters for interterm!

My favorite memory is going to study abroad and not really knowing Emi that well but her still being there for me. I plan to go obtain my masters degree and PhD in African history and I want to become a college professor. This summer I'm working as a lifeguard, working on my family's dairy farm, taking a few classes, and applying to grad schools and grad scholarships.

Hi! I have been pursuing my dream of becoming a physical therapist with the help of my peers and advisors in the exercise science field for the past three years. I am a member of the exercise science student alliance, Tri Delta sorority, and women's tennis team on campus. As an upcoming senior, my plans post graduation are coming into focus, with the goal of attending physical therapy school and earning my doctorate over the course of three years. My dream job is to become a physical therapist with a specialization in burns, and work with patients in the burn unit of a hospital. Being from Kansas City, Missouri I never pictured myself at a small school in Kansas, but the memories I have made and the people I have met have enriched my life in ways I never thought possible. One of my favorite Tri Delta memories was during Greek Games this year, when Tri Delta swept the contest in events such as doughnut eating, relays, and puzzle solving. Our spirit and pride of being Tri Deltas really shine through, being evident not only to us but to the Greek community as well.

Caitlin Apollo

I am an exercise science major and psychology minor from New Rochelle, New York. I am on the Cross Country and Track teams and also a University Admissions Assistant on campus. I am part of the Exercise Science Student Alliance and am a Crew Captain for Baker University's Love Your Melon campus crew. My favorite Tri Delta memory has been taking a spontaneous road trip with my sisters to St. Louis to see the Chainsmokers in concert. After graduation, I plan to attend graduate school to become a physical therapist. My dream job is to be a physical therapist at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This summer I am working at a camp.

Cassie Long

///

I'm Cassie Long and I will be starting at Bakers School of Nursing this fall in Topeka, KS. The past three years I have spent my time in Baldwin City doing my prerequisites. During that time I was apart of Tri Delta, the tennis team, Student Senate, and the Baker Orange. This summer I am working at a summer camp as a head counselor in my hometown Harrisonville, MO. My dream job is to one day be a pediatric nurse. Tri Delta gave me a home away from home and I am forever grateful for all the memories and friendships it has given me.

Gracie Benton

///

Hey guys! I am Gracie Benton, from Des Moines, Iowa. This summer I plan to surround myself with friends and family, all the while teaching some tennis at a country club. I came to Baker originally for tennis, but luckily I’ve met a fantastic group of girls at Delta Delta Delta along the way! While pursuing my degree in Biology (emphasis in Ecology) and a minor in Psychology, I’ve dedicated myself to being secretary of Delta Delta Delta, as well as for Baker Serves. As a new project, a small group of people and I are pressing to advocate for the BRaV group on campus, as a plight to educate the campus and end sexual violence. My favorite memories of this campus all involve late nights with my sisters getting pizza shuttle after a long night of studying (or doing nothing, let’s be honest… treat yo self, right?). As this is my Senior year at Baker, I am still unsure of what my future has in store. After some soul searching (that’ll be done over the school year), I hope to decide between two career paths: ecology or counseling. In either case, I will likely go to graduates school, back in Iowa, to get a Masters degree in the career of my choice.

Holly Chestnut

///

Hi guys! I'm Holly and I am currently a senior working towards a major in business from Prairie Village, KS. The reason I came to Baker was to play tennis for the women's tennis team and it was the best decision of my life! On campus I am also involved with parMentors, Love Your Melon, and I am a Wildcat Welcome Orientation Leader. Although I am not sure exactly what I want to do in my career, my goal is to become involved with a company in which I can interact with others daily and help them reach their own goals in some way. This summer I will be waitressing part time and completing an internship at Stepp & Rothwell Financial Planning. Along with this I will be getting geared up for an my last recruitment as an active member with our awesome membership chairman, Maddy Lutz. My most recent favorite memory was seeing the Tri Deltas from past and present come together for STAG. Hearing stories about our amazing sisterhood made me realize just how much I will miss 816 Fremont and inspired me to make my last year count. DLAM :)

KasiDee Cox

///

Hi all! My name is KasiDee Cox and I am an Exercise Science major from Independence, Kansas. I aspire to be a physical therapist specializing in spinal cord injuries one day. I am currently the Tri Delta Membership Development Chair, Treasurer of the Exercise Science Student Alliance, Treasurer of the Senior Class, Baker Women's Basketball Manager and University Admissions Assistant. This summer, I'm working as a Resident Assistant at the community college in my hometown to mentor low-income high school students whose parents did not go to college. My favorite Tri Delta memory was going to St. Louis with 3 girls in the house on a spontaneous trip to see a concert!

Nathalia Barr

///

Hey y’all! My name is Nat Barr, and I’m a Public Relations major from Grain Valley, Missouri. Aside from being part of Tri Delta, I’m also involved in parMentors and Love Your Melon, and I’m an editor for The Baker Orange newspaper. My absolute dream job would be managing and promoting events for a large philanthropic organization like St. Jude! So once I graduate, I’ll just be looking for jobs in PR and event management. Over the summer, I’m working as an intern with Steel City Media in KCMO working and promoting concerts for four local radio stations. Tri Delta has given me too many memories to count, but my favorite one was during Sponsor’s Reveal my sophomore year when I got my little!

Madison Nedved

///

Hi there! My name is Madison Nedved and I am currently in the midst of pursuing a degree in Business Marketing with minors in Economics and Mass Media. I've never really had a "dream job" per say so I was brought to Baker to play softball where I found my home away from home. While at Baker, aside from being apart of Delta Delta Delta and being a member on the softball team, I was also a University Admissions Assistant and a Love Your Melon Crew Member. I don't have any post graduation plans yet, however, I hope to find a job regarding public relations, fashion, or event planning. This summer I was lucky enough to head home where I am currently interning at a company in the Denver Tech Center called Trace3 as an Inside Sales Intern. One of my favorite Tri Delta memories would have to be work week & recruitment my junior year. I was able to strengthen my friendships within the house, gain a mentor from Executive Office who was visiting for 10 days, as well as see the new members excitement as they ran home.
